WE is a global collective artists committed to using art also as medium for unity, resistance, and social change. With members based across continents, WE addresses urgent sociopolitical issues through collaborative projects that respond to global events—particularly those relating to gender justice, environmental crises, migration, racial inequality, and systemic oppression.
The initiative operates without external funding, sustained instead by the voluntary contributions of its members. WE maintains a horizontal, non-hierarchical structure that fosters open dialogue, decentralised decision-making, and equal participation. Every artist involved is empowered not only to create, but also to present and activate their work within their own communities—whether in public exhibitions, private gatherings, or digital platforms.
What drives WE?
WE’s projects are aligned with the international calendar of key sociopolitical dates, allowing artists to respond collectively and contextually to issues of global significance. These responses take the form of visual art, performance, community engagement, and storytelling, unified through a shared vision of justice, equity, and mutual care.
Our continuous theme remains the expansion of perspectives on community and justice—celebrating our collective roots, diverse identities, and shared resistance.
WE is a living, breathing movement of artists who continue to flourish and connect—despite adversity, through creative resilience and solidarity.
